The European Poker Tour is Europe’s biggest and most popular live poker tournament series. It features a variety of cash games and tournaments with a huge prize pool, and it offers players the opportunity to play against some of the best poker players in the world.

The EPT was first launched in September 2004 and has since grown to become the second-largest poker tournament series worldwide, attracting top-level players from all over the world. The EPT is also the first and only European-based poker tour to hold an official sponsorship with PokerStars, the largest online poker site in the world.

In recent years, the European Poker Tour has experienced a number of changes in its structure and format. For example, it recently rebranded its tournament tours into Championship Events and Festival Events. The rebranding has led to a decrease in the total number of participants and has caused many professional players to voice their displeasure at the changes.

Aside from the rebranding, other changes made in Season 12 included adding more Main Event tournaments to the schedule and increasing the total prize pool by nearly half. The European Poker Tour also attracted a lot of amateurs to join the tour. Some of these players are still playing on the tour today.

Some of the top names in poker have played on the European Poker Tour over the years, including Daniel Negreanu, Liv Boeree and Mike McDonald. Some of these famous players have even won the EPT Grand Final, which is a major tournament for Europeans.

Jan Bendik is the winner of EPT Season 12. He is one of the most established and successful players on the tour. He has been to an EPT final table twice and has previously won the EPT Player of the Year title back in Season 9.

On Sunday, he beat a field of 1,098 players to win EUR961,800 at the Monte-Carlo Casino. It was the highest-ever payout for a Main Event at the EPT Grand Final, and it made him the first Brazilian to win the title.

The European Poker Tour continues in Prague this week, with the EPT Prague Poker Festival kicking off at the Hilton Hotel on December 12. The Prague Poker Festival features some of the most exciting action and big-name players in poker. In addition to the EPT Prague Main Event, the festival will also feature the EUR50,000 Super High Roller and the EUR2,200 Eureka High Roller. Other special events will include a charity table tennis challenge by Right To Play Ambassador Darius Knight and the opportunity to win a weekend away for two and EUR1,000 worth of tournament credits.
